This year, we proudly celebrated Book Week 2025 — a magical event organised by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA), running from Saturday, 16 August to Saturday, 23 August. The theme, “Book an Adventure!”, inspired children across the country to dive into the world of storytelling and let their imaginations soar.

At Padbury Education and Child Care Centre, we brought the beloved story “Where is the Green Sheep?” by Mem Fox to life! Each morning, children and families excitedly searched for the Green Sheep hidden in a new spot around the centre. The joy continued daily with playful appearances from other whimsical sheep, creating laughter, curiosity, and a love for books throughout the week.

It was a week filled with wonder, discovery, and a beautiful reminder of the power of stories in early childhood.
