Facilities

Our facilities have been designed to support children’s growth and development in all areas, with a special focus on building relationships.

Indoor Facilities

The light and airy indoor spaces are designed to facilitate children’s emotional well-being. We provide a fully equipped, flexible space for children to develop social skills and independence and plenty of space to interact and play.

We encourage negotiation, sharing, taking turns, and empathy in an atmosphere of trust.

Outdoor Facilities

Our large enclosed gardens are filled with trees and grass, allowing children to explore and engage with nature. Features are included to stimulate children’s curiosity and imagination, encouraging them to develop their own ideas for play.

Educators support children in developing motor skills and stamina and present them with manageable challenges to find and test their limits.

Kitchen Facilities

Our modern commercial kitchen is where delicious and nutritious meals are prepared daily on-site by our two nationally accredited Food Safety Supervisors. The menu is varied, nutritionally balanced and planned according to the Australian Dietary Guidelines for children and adolescents. All meals can be accommodated to meet dietary requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my child be able to sleep while they are at the Centre?
Most rooms offer children a nap after lunch. Each child rests on a mattress in the playroom, and educators sit with children while they fall asleep. Many children require dummies or comforters in order to fall asleep and you are invited to bring these in with you. The Birak room has two cot rooms, with each child being allocated a cot. Children’s home sleep times and routines are followed as closely as possible. All linen is provided and laundered by the Centre.
What if my child has special dietary requirements?
As part of our orientation process, educators will discuss food allergies, preferences and cultural or religious dietary requirements with you. They will then liaise with our Food Safety Supervisors, and alternative meals will be provided where necessary. If your child develops a food allergy or intolerance, please discuss this with your child’s educators. We understand that in some instances, children require ‘substitute’ foods (e.g. goat milk instead of cow’s milk), and we will make every effort to ensure that the ‘substitute’ is available at the Centre. We ask that you do not bring any foods into the Centre, as we have children and staff with diverse and severe allergies.
Will my child spend much time outdoors?
We believe that children thrive in the outdoors. Nature play can improve children’s physical and mental health, sleep, resilience and learning. Children spend a large portion of their day outdoors, and our areas are designed to allow play in all types of weather.
